Introduction

Hostyyn ("Hostyyn", "we", "us", "our") is a digital product operated by NorthBlue Consulting.

NorthBlue Consulting respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal data processed in connection with Hostyyn.

This Privacy Policy explains how personal data may be collected, used, stored or otherwise processed when someone:

• visits the Hostyyn website;
• accesses a Hostyyn digital guest guide;
• contacts us;
• submits an enquiry;
• requests a demonstration or proposal;
• purchases or uses Hostyyn;
• acts as a Hostyyn customer, accommodation provider or property manager;
• accesses a Hostyyn guide as a guest;
• or otherwise interacts with Hostyyn.

Personal data are processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), applicable Greek data-protection legislation including Law 4624/2019, and other applicable Greek and EU legislation.

Depending on how someone interacts with Hostyyn, we may process:

Customer and Contact Information

• name and surname;

• telephone number;
• business/property name;
• professional role;
• information voluntarily provided when contacting us.

Business and Property Information

For hosts and accommodation providers:

• property information;
• information supplied for creation of the digital guide;
• guest instructions;
• professional correspondence;
• guide update requests;
• other information required to provide Hostyyn services.

Contractual and Financial Information

Where applicable:

• billing and invoicing details;
• Tax Identification/VAT information;
• transaction information;
• contractual information;
• payment status;
• information necessary for accounting, taxation and legal obligations.

Guest Information

Hostyyn digital guides are designed primarily to provide information to guests.

Guests open a guide through a QR code or link. No guest account, registration, login or sign-up is required, and guests are not asked to provide their name, booking details or any other identifying information in order to read a guide. Hostyyn does not build behavioural profiles of guests and does not request or use precise device location.

Website and Technical Data

Hostyyn is developed and operated using Lovable and associated technical infrastructure, with hosting and database, authentication and file-storage services provided by Supabase.

When someone accesses Hostyyn, certain technical information may be processed automatically where necessary to operate, maintain and secure the service. Depending on the actual configuration, this may include:

• IP address;
• browser/device information;
• operating system;
• date and time of access;
• technical logs;
• security events;
• errors and diagnostic information.

This information may be processed for website delivery, cybersecurity, troubleshooting, performance, abuse prevention and technical maintenance. Hostyyn does not operate analytics, advertising or tracking technologies.

Purposes and Legal Bases

Personal data may be processed to:

• respond to enquiries;
• provide Hostyyn;
• create and maintain digital guides;
• provide customer support and requested updates;
• manage customer relationships;
• administer agreements and invoices;
• comply with accounting, taxation and legal obligations;

Depending on the processing activity, the legal basis may be:

Hosts and Guests

Hostyyn customers are responsible for ensuring that information they provide for inclusion in their digital guide is lawful, accurate and appropriately authorised.

Customers should notify Hostyyn when important property information requires correction or updating.

Guests should independently verify important or time-sensitive information where appropriate.

Sharing Personal Data

NorthBlue Consulting does not sell or rent personal data.

Where reasonably necessary, information may be shared with service providers required to operate Hostyyn, including hosting/infrastructure providers, cloud providers, communication providers, accountants, professional advisers, IT providers, payment providers where applicable, contractors and competent authorities where legally required.

The technical providers currently used to operate Hostyyn are Lovable (development and hosting) and Supabase (database, authentication and file storage). Public map, geocoding and weather data used inside guides are retrieved from OpenStreetMap / Nominatim / Overpass and Open-Meteo.

Third-Party Services

Hostyyn guides may contain links to external services such as maps, local businesses, websites, telephone numbers or other third-party platforms.

When users choose to access those services, the external provider's own privacy practices and terms may apply.

Hostyyn does not control independent third-party services.

International Data Transfers

Where technology providers process personal data outside the EEA, appropriate safeguards should be used where required, such as European Commission adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses or another legally recognised transfer mechanism.

Data Retention and Security

Personal data are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose, subject to legal, accounting, taxation and contractual retention requirements.

NorthBlue Consulting takes reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data.

No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

Subject to applicable legislation, individuals may have rights to:

Cookie Policy

Strictly Necessary

Technologies required for essential functionality, security, sessions or functionality specifically requested by users. Hostyyn uses browser storage (localStorage) to keep an administrator signed in to the private admin area. This is essential for the login functionality and is not used for tracking.

Preferences

Hostyyn stores a small number of preferences in your browser's local storage: the language you select for the website and guides, cached map coordinates used to display distances, and administrator display settings. These values remain on your own device, are set only as a result of your own use of the site, and are not shared with third parties or used for profiling.

Analytics

Hostyyn does not use analytics, advertising, marketing or tracking technologies, and no third-party tracking scripts or pixels are loaded.

Because Hostyyn only uses strictly necessary and functional technologies stored on your own device, no cookie consent banner is displayed. You can clear this stored data at any time through your browser settings. Should non-essential technologies be introduced in future, they will be blocked until consent is given and a consent mechanism offering equally clear Accept, Reject and Manage Preferences options will be provided.

Terms of Use

About Hostyyn

Hostyyn is a proprietary digital hospitality product operated by NorthBlue Consulting.

It allows accommodation providers to make selected property and destination information available to guests through digital guides.

Hostyyn is not a separate legal entity.

Use of Hostyyn

Users must not:

• violate applicable law;
• interfere with Hostyyn's operation;
• attempt unauthorised access;
• compromise security;
• introduce malicious software;
• misuse Hostyyn content or intellectual property.

Host Responsibility

Accommodation providers are responsible for customer-specific information they provide or approve for their Hostyyn guide.

This includes information such as property instructions, contact information and other property-specific content.

Hosts should notify Hostyyn when important information changes.

Guest Information

Information within Hostyyn guides is provided for convenience and general informational purposes.

Some information may originate from accommodation providers, publicly available information or third-party services.

Hostyyn cannot guarantee that all third-party or customer-supplied information remains permanently accurate or current.

Guests should independently verify important or time-sensitive information where appropriate.

Local Recommendations

Hostyyn guides may contain information or links relating to restaurants, cafés, attractions, shops or other local businesses.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, inclusion does not mean Hostyyn owns or operates those businesses.

Third-party businesses remain responsible for their own services, prices, opening hours, availability and operations.

Maps and External Links

Hostyyn may provide links to maps, directions, websites, telephone numbers or other external services.

These services are operated independently and may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the Hostyyn name, branding, platform, software, original website content, designs, guide architecture, workflows, templates, technology and other original intellectual property are owned by or appropriately licensed to Angeliki Vasileiadou / NorthBlue Consulting.

Accessing or purchasing Hostyyn does not transfer ownership of the underlying:

• software;
• source code;
• technology;
• design;
• platform;
• workflows;
• branding;
• other intellectual property.

Customers receive the right to use the relevant Hostyyn service under the applicable commercial arrangement.

Customer-supplied original content remains subject to the customer's existing rights.

Service Availability

NorthBlue Consulting aims to maintain reliable access to Hostyyn but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, updates, technical failures, third-party infrastructure or circumstances outside reasonable control.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, NorthBlue Consulting shall not be liable for loss arising solely from:

• reliance on general guide information;
• outdated or inaccurate customer/third-party information;
• temporary service unavailability;
• external websites or services;
• third-party businesses;
• technical interruptions outside reasonable control.

Nothing excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable Greek law and directly applicable EU law.

Disputes shall be subject to the competent Greek courts, subject to mandatory jurisdiction or consumer-protection rules.

Hostyyn is a product operated by NorthBlue Consulting and is not a separate legal entity.
